CHARLOTTE – The Panthers cleared a pair of players from the COVID-19 list Tuesday but shut down another player for the year.
They placed second-year guard Dennis Daley on injured reserve, which will end his season.
Daley's been out since suffering a concussion in Week 11 against the Lions. He started three games this season and nine last year after joining the team as a sixth-round pick from South Carolina.
The Panthers activated defensive tackle Zach Kerr from the reserve/COVID-19 list, and he's back at a good time with injuries thinning the team up front.
Kerr has appeared in 11 games this year and started four, providing a solid presence in the middle of the line. With defensive tackle Bravvion Roy among the players getting injuries checked out after last week's game, Kerr's return is timely.
The Panthers also moved wide receiver Ishmael Hyman back to the practice squad injured reserve list after placing him on the practice squad COVID-19 list earlier this month.
