CHARLOTTE — The Panthers parted ways with veteran running back Miles Sanders on Tuesday in advance of the start of the new league year.
Sanders spent the last two seasons here after signing as a free agent in 2023.
Since then, Chuba Hubbard has taken over as the starting running back, and was given a long-term contract extension last fall.
Sanders never balked and stepped in late in the year when Hubbard was injured and scored the game-winning touchdown in overtime of the finale at Atlanta.
In two seasons here, Sanders had 184 carries for 637 yards and three touchdowns, along with 51 catches for 302 yards and a touchdown.
The Panthers still have Hubbard, Jonathon Brooks, and Emani Bailey on the roster.
