CHARLOTTE — The Panthers got a couple of steps closer to full participation, heading into the first day of training camp practice.

The team activated a pair of rookies from the physically unable to perform list on Tuesday.

Wide receiver Jalen Coker and cornerback Chau Smith-Wade were activated.

That leaves four players on the active/PUP list (including D.J. Wonnum, Amaré Barno, Cam Sims, and Yosh Nijman), along with running back Jonathon Brooks on the active/NFI list.

Players can be activated from either list at any time.

Practice will begin Wednesday morning at Bank of America Stadium. For all the latest on training camp including ticket information, click here.
