The Panthers saw enough of Ryan Winslow in his one-week tryout to make it a longer-term arrangement.
The team signed the punter to the active roster Tuesday, after his debut last week.
Winslow was promoted from the practice squad a week ago, when he was a late addition after punter Joseph Charlton went on injured reserve with a back injury.
Winslow punted and held for extra points and field goals last week against the Vikings, building on his familiarity with kicker Zane Gonzalez from the time they spent together with the Cardinals.
The Panthers also placed wide receiver Brandon Zylstra on injured reserve. He suffered a hamstring injury Sunday, but returned to play in the second half.
A key special teams player, Zylstra also has eight catches for 139 yards and a touchdown in the first six games.
The Panthers also brought back running back Reggie Bonnafon to the practice squad. He originally came here as an undrafted free agent in 2018, but was released in final cuts this year.
