CHARLOTTE — The Panthers on Monday released wide receiver Seth Roberts.
Roberts played in all seven of Carolina's games this season, making four receptions for 31 yards. He was used in a reserve role on offense, playing a season-high 41 percent of snaps in Sunday's loss to New Orleans. But Roberts had not been targeted since the Week 4 victory over the Cardinals.
A veteran wide receiver, Roberts played five seasons for the Raiders before spending last year with the Ravens. He's recorded 183 receptions for 2,128 yards with 15 touchdowns in his career.
Additionally, Carolina released cornerback Josh Hawkins from the practice squad on Monday. Hawkins has not appeared in a regular-season game since 2018.
