CHARLOTTE - The Panthers on Tuesday signed kicker Joey Slye through the 2021 season. He was an exclusive rights free agent entering the offseason.
This past season, Slye hit 29-of-36 field goal attempts and made 33 of 36 extra point tries. He ranked second in the NFL with a 91.0 touchback percentage.
Slye was signed by the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of Virginia Tech in 2019. Through two seasons, he's gone 54-of-68 on field goal attempts and 64-of-71 on extra points.
Slye was the Panthers' lone remaining exclusive rights free agent after they extended tight end Colin Thompson through 2021 on Monday.
