Panthers add two to Reserve/COVID-19 list

The Panthers added the cornerback to the active roster after he played in the previous three games as a practice squad elevation. They also placed tight end Ian Thomas on injured reserve.

The veteran wide receiver is back on the 53-man roster at the end of his practice window, after missing the last seven games with a hamstring issue.

The team added Jordan Fuller and DJ Wonnum back to the active roster, and added some depth from the practice squad.

Hubbard would have been a free agent at the end of the season, but the team rewarded him with a new deal Thursday morning before leaving for Germany.

The team waived Nick Thurman, who started four games earlier this season, opening another place on the 53-man roster with a number of players closer to returning.

The team signed the veteran tight end from the practice squad Saturday, adding some depth at the position. Plus other moves.

The former Rams safety was signed last week to add depth at the position for the game against the Broncos. Plus a practice squad move. 

The team got a fifth-round pick from the Ravens for the veteran wide receiver and a sixth-round pick on Tuesday.

The veteran safety and special teamer will be down for the next four weeks, but the Panthers backfilled at the position with two additions among their Saturday moves.

Outside linebacker DJ Wonnum returns to the field after his stint on the PUP list, while Adam Thielen and Jordan Fuller are designated to return from injured reserve.

The team added outside linebacker Cam Gill and defensive end Jonathan Harris off other teams' practice squads Tuesday, among a handful of moves.

The team activated cornerback Dane Jackson from injured reserve and signed defensive tackle T.J. Smith from the practice squad to the active roster, among other moves.
