CHARLOTTE -- With linebacker Jared Norris sidelined with turf toe, the Panthers have signed linebacker Brandon Chubb to the practice squad. To make room, the Panthers cut quarterback Connor Cook.
Chubb most recently spent time with the Colts and Titans this summer. He was with the Lions during the 2018 offseason. Chubb spent the 2017 season on the Lions' injured reserve list. As a rookie in 2016, he spent time on the practice squads of San Francisco, Detroit and the Los Angeles Rams.
Chubb originally signed with the Rams as an undrafted free agent out of Wake Forest. Chubb's younger brother Bradley was selected fifth overall by the Broncos in the 2018 NFL Draft.
