SPARTANBURG — The Panthers' tight end position has been more competitive this training camp, and they got another addition Monday morning.
The Panthers activated tight end Stephen Sullivan from the reserve/COVID-19 list, which he's been on since the start of camp.
He was on the sidelines for Fan Fest Friday night, and has now been cleared to return to practice.
A seventh-round pick of the Seahawks in 2020, Sullivan played at LSU with Panthers teammate Terrace Marshall Jr.. He caught 12 passes for 130 yards for the Tigers during their national championship run, so Panthers offensive coordinator Joe Brady has some background with him.
To make room for Sullivan on the 90-man roster, the Panthers waived wide receiver Marken Michel.
