CHARLOTTE – The Panthers on Friday placed Da'Norris Searcy on injured reserve after the safety suffered two concussions in the span of 30 days.
Searcy, who suffered his initial concussion of 2018 in Carolina's second preseason game against Miami, was again injured near the end of the first half of Week 2's loss in Atlanta. It's possible the Panthers could place him back on the active roster after he spends at least eight games on IR.
Veteran Colin Jones or third-round pick Rashaan Gaulden will start in Searcy's place Sunday against the Bengals but both will play.
