TEAM STATS

• Carolina's running game netted just 65 yards on the ground, while Washington posted 248 rushing yards. Washington's output marked the fifth-most net rushing yards allowed by Carolina all-time, and the most since 264 against Pittsburgh in 2014.
• The Panthers had two giveaways and did not record a takeaway, losing the turnover battle 2-0. The Panthers have only recorded one takeaway over the last four games.
• Carolina did make plays on special teams, however, blocking a field goal to end the first half and recovering an onside kick in the final minutes. It marked Carolina's first blocked field goal since 2017 at Chicago and first onside kick recovery since 1998 against Buffalo.
• The Panthers pass defense held Washington to 114 net passing yards, the fewest by an opponent since Chicago had 107 in 2017.
• Carolina recorded five sacks while Washington had seven sacks. It marked the fourth game this season that Carolina has recorded at least five sacks. The Panthers lead the NFL with 46 sacks.
• On Carolina's first two drives and last two drives, the Panthers totaled 226 net yards. In the other nine offensive drives, Carolina totaled 70 net yards.

PLAYER STATS

Panthers

• Christian McCaffrey tallied 58 receiving yards on seven catches. He passed Roger Craig (2,118) for the most total receiving yards by a running back in an NFL player's first three seasons. McCaffrey was held out of the end zone for just the third time this season.
• DJ Moore totaled 75 yards on six catches while Curtis Samuel had 65 yards on four catches. Both players scored first quarter touchdowns, marking just the second time this season and third time in the last two years that both players had receiving touchdowns in the same game.
• Moore now has 980 receiving yards on the season, including an NFL-best 517 over the last five games.
• Kyle Allen threw for 278 yards with two touchdowns and one interception. His 17-yard rushing touchdown was the longest of his career and first rushing TD this season.
• Luke Kuechly recorded seven tackles in the game, passing 100 season tackles for the eighth consecutive season. He became the fifth player since tackles were recorded to post eight consecutive 100-tackle seasons.
• Eric Reid once again led the team in tackles (8) while recording a sack. Reid now has 4.0 sacks this year, second-most among NFL safeties.
• Mario Addison recorded 1.5 sacks, bringing his season total to 9.5 which ties for ninth in the league. He is a sack away from passing Mike Rucker (55.5) for third-most in Panthers history.

Redskins

• Derrius Guice ran for 129 rushing yards and two touchdowns, a new career high in both categories. His 60-yard run in the first half was the longest run that Carolina has allowed this season.
