CHARLOTTE — The Panthers had 18 names on the injury report Wednesday, including nine players who did not participate.

Two of the non-participants were not injury-related and were just getting rest days, including running back Chuba Hubbard and veteran nickel Troy Hill.

Otherwise, linebacker Claudin Cherelus (hamstring), outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney, linebacker Josey Jewell (hamstring/groin), wide receiver Diontae Johnson (ankle), right tackle Taylor Moton (elbow), linebacker Jon Rhattigan (knee/illness) and defensive end A'Shawn Robinson (knee) were held out of the first practice of the week as they prepare for the trip to Washington.

Six players were listed as limited, including running back Jonathon Brooks (knee), who was designated to return Wednesday, opening his 21-day window to return from the non-football injury list. Also limited were wide receiver David Moore (knee), defensive end LaBryan Ray (ankle/knee), center Andrew Raym (concussion), safety Nick Scott (hamstring), and tight end Tommy Tremble (concussion).

Cornerback Dane Jackson (hamstring), defensive tackle Jaden Crumedy (ankle), and safety Sam Franklin Jr. (foot) were listed as full participants.

The Carolina Panthers and Atrium Health hosted the 2024 Crucial Catch Honorary Captains at practice on Saturday. They received their game jersey for the Crucial Catch game with the word on their name plate signifying each of their cancer journeys. The honorary captains spent time catching up with players, taking home autographs, and wrapped up the day hanging out with Coach Canales!
