Linebacker Josey Jewell is out this week because of a concussion, as the Panthers head into the finale at Atlanta.

The Panthers were still without seven players in Thursday's practice as they prepare for this week's regular season finale.

There were a couple of rest days scattered in there, but six players didn't practice because of injuries.

Three more players went on the report Thursday with the illness designation, in addition to the players dealing with injuries.

Tuesday's half-speed work was held without four players, but everyone else was a full participant.

The Panthers will be without the rookie receiver, and a number of other starters are listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

The Panthers were without right guard Robert Hunt Thursday because of an illness, and wide receiver Jalen Coker was limited because of a quadriceps issue.

The team held out a number of veteran starters with non-injury days, while rookie receiver Xavier Legette was held out with a hip issue.

The rookie linebacker didn't practice this week because of a shoulder injury, and will miss the Cowboys game.
