CHARLOTTE — The Panthers were without six players in practice Wednesday, but several key parts who had missed time were back on the field.
Among the six players who didn't participate Wednesday, three were just rest days — Jadeveon Clowney, Troy Hill, and A'Shawn Robinson.
Wide receiver Diontae Johnson (ankle), and linebackers Josey Jewell (hamstring/groin) and Shaq Thompson (Achilles) were also held out as the team prepared for this week's trip to Chicago.
Two players who missed time were back on a limited basis, including starting left guard Damien Lewis (elbow) and nose tackle Shy Tuttle (foot). Tuttle has missed the last two weeks, and Lewis missed last week's game.
Also limited Wednesday were outside linebacker Charles Harris (shoulder), right guard Robert Hunt (hip), center Andrew Raym (head), and safety Nick Scott (shoulder). Cornerback Dane Jackson (hamstring) and tight end Ian Thomas (calf) , who were designated to return from IR on Wednesday, were also limited.
Special teamer Lonnie Johnson (hip), who missed last week's game, was a full participant Wednesday.
