CHARLOTTE — The Panthers were without a pair of starters Sunday because of injury, as nose tackle Shy Tuttle and left guard Damien Lewis were ruled out on Friday, along with special teamer Lonnie Johnson.

Also inactive for the Panthers for Sunday's game against the Bengals are cornerback Tariq Castro-Fields, running back Mike Boone, outside linebacker Tarron Jackson, and guard Jarrett Kingston.

That means that starting right guard Robert Hunt and wide receiver Diontae Johnson, who were questionable on the final injury report, are active and expected to play today.

Chandler Zavala will start for Lewis at left guard, while Nick Thurman will start in Tuttle's spot. Outside linebacker Charles Harris woke up Sunday with shoulder soreness, but he is active and expected to play.

The Panthers activated defensive end DeShawn Williams and outside linebacker Thomas Incoom from the practice squad (standard elevations) for Week 4.
