Week 3 Wednesday Injury Report: Two defensive linemen held out

CHARLOTTE — The Panthers were without two more starters on the defensive line Wednesday.

Veterans A'Shawn Robinson (knee) and Shy Tuttle (foot) were held out of Wednesday's practice as the team began preparations for Sunday's game against the Raiders.

The team was already without Derrick Brown, who is on IR after a season-ending knee injury in the opener. That leaves Nick Thurman, LaBryan Ray, and Jayden Peevy on the active roster, with DeShawn Williams and T.J. Smith on the practice squad.

Other than Robinson and Tuttle, the other players absent Wednesday were for non-injury-related reasons. Outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney (rest) and tight end Feleipe Franks (personal matter) were not participating.

Three players were listed as limited Wednesday — guards Robert Hunt (shoulder) and Damien Lewis (groin), along with tight end Tommy Tremble (hamstring/back)
