CHARLOTTE — The Panthers designated safety Myles Hartsfield to return from injured reserve Friday, starting the 21-day window to activate him.
Hartsfield suffered a wrist injury in the regular-season opener that required surgery to repair. He was on the practice field Friday for the walk-through, watching from the sidelines.
He opened the season as the starter at nickel, and can play a number of roles in the secondary.
Hartsfield made the team as an undrafted rookie from Ole Miss last year, and worked as both a running back and a safety in his first season.
