CHARLOTTE — The Panthers will be without return man Raheem Blackshear Sunday against the Cowboys.
Blackshear was downgraded to out on Saturday because of the chest injury suffered last week in Philadelphia.
In his absence, Deven Thompkins is expected to pick up the return duties, as he did last week after Blackshear was injured.
The Panthers will also be without rookie linebacker Trevin Wallace, who was ruled out with a shoulder injury. Claudin Cherelus will start next to Josey Jewell inside.
Also inactive for the Panthers today will be safety Nick Scott, cornerback Shemar Bartholomew, cornerback Akayleb Evans, offensive lineman Jarrett Kingston, and defensive tackle Sam Roberts.
Cornerback Jaycee Horn, who was questionable on the injury report because of a groin issue, is active.
The Panthers also brought up running back Mike Boone and linebacker Jacoby Windmon from the practice squad for depth this week. Boone's the backup running back, with Blackshear injured and Jonathon Brooks going on injured reserve last week.
