CHARLOTTE — The Panthers added another defensive back on Saturday, their second series of moves on the day.

The team added defensive back Anthony Brown after a tryout. The corner first entered the league in 2016, drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the sixth round of the NFL draft.

Brown spent seven seasons with the Cowboys. He was on practice squads for the Steelers, 49ers and Jets in 2023. During his time with the Cowboys, Brown accumulated 324 tackles, four sacks and 29 interceptions.

In a corresponding move, the team waived defensive back Kiondre Thomas.

Earlier in the day, the Panthers added safety Clayton Isbell and waived/injured tight end Curtis Hodges.

The team will host their third padded practice on Sunday and play their first pre-season game Thursday night versus the New England Patriots.
