CHARLOTTE — The Panthers' starters got their work in Thursday morning, so they'll get a chance to rest Saturday night.

With the joint practice in the recent past, and a growing list of injured players, the Panthers chose to sit their starters for tonight's preseason game against the Jets.

The starters got a good workout on Thursday, and the defense created five turnovers against the Jets, while Bryce Young and the offense didn't turn it over.

Young also completed a number of big passes downfield and looked sharp against a good Jets defense.

Backup quarterback Andy Dalton also won't play tonight, meaning Jack Plummer and Jake Luton will get the work against the Jets.
