CHARLOTTE — The Panthers added some more depth on both sides of the line Sunday morning.

The team signed veteran defensive tackle Walter Palmore and added offensive lineman Jack Anderson after a workout.

The Panthers needed help on both sides of the line after rookie defensive lineman Jaden Crumedy left with a high ankle sprain Thursday, and offensive linemen Badara Traore (knee) and Cade Mays (shoulder) left the game as well.

Head coach Dave Canales said Mays had an AC sprain and would miss a few weeks.

Palmore, 28, has spent time with the Texans, Cowboys, and Seahawks, and spent a week in camp here in 2021. He was most recently with the Michigan Panthers of the UFL.

Anderson, 25, has spent time with the Bulls, Eagles, Giants, Colts, and Jaguars. The Texas Tech product has played in 15 career games with three starts.

They also brought back wide receiver Tayvion Robinson, who was here earlier in camp.

To make room for them on the roster, the team waived a pair of rookies — cornerback Willie Drew and running back Jaden Shirden, and waived-injured wide receiver Deven Thompkins.
