CHARLOTTE — The Panthers are going with a known commodity at left tackle Sunday.
With starting left tackle Cameron Erving inactive with a neck injury that kept him out of practice last week, the Panthers shuffled the offensive line.
The team announced that Taylor Moton would start at left tackle, with rookie Brady Christensen at right tackle.
"I prepare for wherever I may play," Moton said last week. "It's just like my rookie year, I have to be ready for more than one position. It's wherever coach feels is best for the team."
Moton started at left tackle the first two games of 2018, but has since taken all his work on the right. There was some hesitance about moving him from the spot he's most comfortable in, but they preferred that to putting a rookie on the left.
Christensen, their third-round pick, was a three-year starter at left tackle at BYU, but took most of his work in training camp at right tackle.
