CHARLOTTE — The Panthers knew they needed safety help and didn't wait long to acquire it.

According to multiple reports, including from NFL Network, the Panthers agreed to terms with Raiders safety Tre'von Moehrig on a three-year deal Monday.

No deals can become official until Wednesday at 4 p.m.

The 25-year-old Moehrig, a former second-round pick out of TCU, had 104 tackles last season for Las Vegas.

He also has six interceptions in four seasons with the Raiders, including two last year.

With most of their safety room hitting free agency, the Panthers only had one under contract, and that was undrafted rookie Demani Richardson.
