Panthers add to tight end room after injury

CHARLOTTE — The Panthers adjusted the roster at tight end on Thursday, prior to the team's Fan Fest practice in Clemson.

The team signed former Washington tight end Curtis Hodges.

The 25-year-old Hodges spent the last two seasons with the Commanders but did not appear in a game. He played collegiately at Arizona State.

To make room for him on the roster, the team placed tight end Stephen Sullivan on injured reserve because of a quadriceps injury.

Sullivan has been with the Panthers since 2021 and was with the Seahawks in 2020. The LSU product caught 12 passes for 125 yards last season.

The team will conduct what amounts to an intrasquad scrimmage at Clemson's Memorial Stadium tonight, going in full pads for the second time in three days.
