Long snapper JJ Jansen will play his 250th career game today

LANDOVER, Md. — JJ Jansen breaks a Panthers record every week.

This week, he hits a significant NFL milestone.

The veteran long snapper and host of the wildly popular internet series Cart Talk will play in his 250th game today at Washington, becoming one of just 59 players in league history to hit that mark.

Jansen and Dolphins defensive end Calais Campbell (playing in the 1 p.m. game) will hit the mark together, entering a tie for 55th place all-time.

They join longtime Jets kicker Pat Leahy, former Lions kicker (and not the Orioles first baseman) Eddie Murray, and former Seahawks, Packers, Falcons, and Panthers safety Eugene Robinson — who is now a contributor to the Panthers Radio Network's pregame and postgame shows.

Next week, Lord willing, Jansen and Campbell will move into a tie for 54th all-time with longtime Falcons tackle Mike Kenn (251).

Jansen became the Panthers' all-time record holder in games played in 2022, when he passed former kicker (and his close friend, whose South Charlotte house he purchased) John Kasay.
