CHARLOTTE – Safety Damian Parms has signed a one-year contract to remain with the Panthers.
Parms, an exclusive rights free agent, spent last season on injured reserve with a shoulder injury suffered in the preseason. The Florida Atlantic product hasn't appeared in a regular season game in his career, but he has an opportunity with Carolina working to shore up the safety spot.
"This is a blessing," Parms said. "If I can stay healthy, I feel like I'm in a good position to play. Before the injury I felt so great about the year, felt like I was going to do some great things."
Parms, a 6-foot-2, 210-pounder, has bounced around the league since he was an undrafted rookie in 2015. After stints with the Falcons and Bills, Parms spent the entire 2017 season on Carolina's practice squad.
