The Panthers have been receiving high marks for their work in free agency this offseason, and the latest praise comes from CBS Sports.
John Breech ranked how every club fared in free agency, slotting the Panthers at the No. 4 spot, behind only the Cardinals, Titans and Browns.
Despite not having a ton of cap room to work with, the Panthers made a series of smart moves once the new league year began.
The additions of center Matt Paradis and edge rusher Bruce Irvin clearly addressed needs. Carolina also did well to re-sign safety Eric Reid and offensive tackle Daryl Williams without spending too much.
"The Panthers went into free agency with needs at several positions -- tackle, center, safety and pass-rush -- and they were one of the few teams able to fill their needs with quality players without breaking the bank," Breech wrote.
