CHARLOTTE – The holiday spirit will be out in full force in uptown Charlotte these next two months.
The Carolina Panthers and Charlotte FC are inviting all fans and their families to the Tree Lighting Festival, presented by Atrium Health, on Tuesday, Nov. 30 at Bank of America Stadium.
This year, the free, ticketed event will have a new street festival format featuring activities for the entire family. Free tickets are required to attend and are available for claim here.
The festival, which takes place just outside Bank of America Stadium at the corner of Graham and Mint Streets, begins at 5 p.m. and runs until 8 p.m.
This year's program features appearances by Sir Purr, the TopCats Cheerleaders, the PurrCussion Drumline and the Black & Blue Crew as well as Charlotte FC players in a procession that will precede the finale lighting of the tree at 7 p.m.
Other family-friendly activities include a photo booth, caricature artists, balloon artists, a chance to meet Santa Claus, and a family-friendly movie shown on a big screen at the corner of Graham Street and Stonewall Street.
Bottled water and hot cocoa will be available free of charge with additional food and drinks also available for purchase from various local food trucks onsite.
The NFL Clear Bag Policy will be in place at the tree lighting festival. Transparent, plastic, vinyl or PVC bags smaller than 12" x 6" x 12" will be allowed after inspection.
No alcohol is permitted at the festival. The event will be held rain or shine and parking will be available from various independent parking companies in the Uptown area.
