CHARLOTTE — Panthers quarterback Andy Dalton was not participating Wednesday during the portion of practice open to the media, after he was involved in a traffic accident Tuesday.
Dalton is being evaluated by team medical personnel. He stood on the sidelines in a hoodie with his jersey over the top, but didn't have a helmet.
Bryce Young is the only other quarterback on the 53-man roster. Rookie Jack Plummer remains on the practice squad.
Dalton and his family were involved in an accident Tuesday while driving on Sardis Road near the intersection at Providence Road. No one from Dalton's family was transported for treatment by emergency medical personnel.
