CHARLOTTE — When Tetairoa McMillan was playing high school in Southern California, he wanted to be number 11.

It was already spoken for.

"I wore 4 in high school just because my number got taken," he said Friday when he arrived at Bank of America Stadium. "I was like, what's the next best option?"

He settled on 4, and it apparently worked for him since he was a five-star recruit, caught 26 touchdowns in three seasons at Arizona, and then became the eighth overall pick in the NFL Draft.

Since 4 worked out OK for him, he's going to stick with it.

McMillan got the first look at his new colors on Friday after holding up the stock 1 to represent his draft round with the commissioner on Thursday and a stock 25 to represent his draft year at the press conference.

But he'll be wearing 4 this fall, and so can you, if you choose.

He'll wear it on the field for the first time when he returns for rookie minicamp in May.
