The Super Bowl champion has been crowned and draft season is upon us. And that means we'll be seeing mock drafts. Lots of mock drafts.
The Panthers possess the 16th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Many analysts look to the offensive and defensive lines as areas of need, and that's reflected in the mock drafts featured, as five of the six prospects are linemen (some local flavor with Ferrell of Clemson and Bradbury of N.C. State).
The one prospect featured who doesn't play along the line of scrimmage is LSU cornerback Greedy Williams, whose name alone should earn him a first-round grade. As you all know, the Panthers selected cornerback Donte Jackson out of LSU in the second round last year. NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah suggests that Carolina could "double down" on gifted LSU corners this spring.
