Stadium Construction Update

Phase one of Bank of America Stadium renovations have moved into their final month.

The framework atop the new escalator bay near the South Gate has taken shape.

After a crane lifted massive pieces of steel into place, workers secure the structure.

Work inside the bay, one of four being built, continues as well.

Inside the stadium, the backup speaker system is being installed as a part of the west video board structure.

The speaker system on the east side has already been covered.

Testing is under way on the ribbon boards that encircle the stadium bowl.

Workers spread out asphalt near the South Gate.

A recently completed stretch of sidewalk leads to the South Gate.

Work also continues near the North Gate. Beware of Panthers!

On the 500 level near the South Gate, the rebuilding of a pair of light domes continues.

The deadline for Phase one is set for July 1.
