Stadium Construction Update

As Phase One of renovations at Bank of America Stadium continues, spring has sprung around the area.

Warm weather has helped keep progress on a good pace.

The four escalator bays being built, including this one at the East Gate, continue to take shape.

While some workers concentrate on the bays themselves, the escalators are being assembled on-site.

The four escalators being added around the stadium will be capable of transporting 36,000 people in one hour.

Improvements are being made from the ground level all the way to the 500 level and even beyond.

Tree conservation is a priority in the project. All possible precautions are being taken to maintain the stadium-in-a-park feel.

In addition to the trees, flowers are beginning to bloom all around the stadium.

With the ribbon board on the 300 level now fully encircling the bowl, focus has shifted to the 500 level board.
