CHARLOTTE — Starting right guard John Miller returned to practice on a limited basis on Tuesday.
Miller (ankle) did not play in Sunday's loss in New Orleans and missed Monday's practice. He was in a green, limited-contact jersey for the portion of practice open to media.
Meanwhile, left tackle Russell Okung (calf) and defensive tackle Zach Kerr (toe) did not practice. Okung was sidelined on Monday, too, while Kerr did not have an injury status.
Greg Little and Trent Scott are starting options for the Panthers if Miller or Okung can't face the Falcons on Thursday.
After rotating with Little at left tackle for two games earlier this season, Scott played 18 snaps at right guard against New Orleans. Head coach Matt Rhule praised Scott's versatility on Tuesday, calling it especially important in 2020.
"I love him inside because I think he's a big, powerful man who can move people," Rhule said. "He's so unbelievably valuable to any football team, but especially in this year with COVID and all the protocols and things like that, restrictions that we're under (because) he can pretty much back up any position."
Defensive ends Marquis Haynes Sr. (knee) and Efe Obada (back) were full participants on Tuesday's report.
