CHARLOTTE — The Panthers were missing a couple of key offensive pieces during portions of Wednesday's practice.
Running back Christian McCaffrey wasn't out there, as expected, as he'll miss a few weeks with a hamstring strain suffered last Thursday against the Texans. He did not participate.
But starting right guard John Miller was limited Wednesday because of a shoulder issue. He missed the opener while on the reserve/COVID-19 list, but came back the following week and helped stabilize the interior.
Defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos was limited Wednesday with an ankle injury picked up in Week 2. He and Miller were wearing green jerseys on the way into practice which signified they weren't full participants. That's a step up for Gross-Matos though, after he was out last week.
Rookie defensive tackle Phil Hoskins did not participate Wednesday for non-injury reasons.
New cornerback CJ Henderson (groin) was listed as a full participant, along with wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. (thumb).
