Week 3 Wednesday Injury Report: Cam Newton doesn't participate and neither does Kawann Short

CHARLOTTE - The Panthers released the first injury report of Week 3 on Wednesday with quarterback Cam Newton headlining the players who did not participate in Wednesday's practice.

But defensive tackle Kawann Short also made an appearance. Short did not participate with a shoulder injury.

Safety Rashaan Gaulden (groin) and DE/LB Bruce Irvin (hamstring) also did not participate. Neither played in the last week's game against Tampa Bay, and Irvin has missed both games to start the season.

Offensive tackle Brandon Greene (neck) was the only other player to miss practice. Tight end Greg Olsen (back) was limited.
