CHARLOTTE — The Panthers have a new name on the injury report, and it's a significant one.
Right tackle Taylor Moton was added to the report Thursday.
He was listed as limited with a groin injury, after reporting some tightness when he went out to practice.
Obviously, the status of their best offensive lineman is big news heading into a game against the Saints defense, which locked down Aaron Rodgers and the Packers last week.
If Moton's unable to play, the options to replace him at right tackle include Trent Scott and Brady Christensen.
Moton hasn't missed a game in his NFL career, and has started 49 straight.
Defensive tackle DaQuan Jones was listed as limited for the second straight day with a groin injury.
Otherwise, the news was good, as guard John Miller (illness) and Pat Elflein (hip) were full participants after being limited Wednesday.
Safety Sean Chandler (hamstring) and wide receiver Shi Smith (shoulder) were listed as full participants for the second straight day.
