CHARLOTTE — Running back Christian McCaffrey did not practice Wednesday and isn't expected to face the Buccaneers this weekend after he suffered a shoulder injury late in the Panthers' Week 9 loss at Kansas City.
"Looks like Christian probably won't play," head coach Matt Rhule said. "I wouldn't say it's 100 percent, but it looks like he's pretty much out for this week and we'll see how he is next week."
Left tackle Russell Okung also sat out practice with a lingering calf injury. He missed the last two games after leaving the Week 7 loss to the Saints early.
Wednesday's other DNPs were defensive end Stephen Weatherly (finger) and tight end Ian Thomas (not injury related).
Rookie safety Jeremy Chinn, who missed last week's game with a knee injury, was limited, but Rhule said that Chinn was active throughout practice.
Newly activated running back Reggie Bonnafon (ankle) was also limited as he works his way back from reserve lists.
