CHARLOTTE - The Carolina Panthers Big Friday High School showcase finishes up with a bang as it brings together the top-ranked teams in the state as Chambers takes on Hough on Friday night.
The game is set for 7 p.m. at the newly-renovated American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte. Advanced tickets can be purchased on-line via www.varsitytix.com or on game day at the Memorial Stadium box office. General admission seating is $7.
The stage is set for this highly-anticipated conference matchup as both teams enter the contest undefeated. Two-time defending state champion Chambers is ranked No. 1 in North Carolina by MaxPreps with Hough following closely at No. 2. Hough is the last team to beat Chambers having defeated the Cougars in the regular season this past spring. Hough enters the game following a convincing 53-14 victory over North Mecklenburg while Chambers posted a 64-6 defeat over West Mecklenburg.
Fans are encouraged to show up early and support their squad as Carolina Panthers Charities will provide a $2500 grant to the school with the best student section. Be on the lookout for Panthers personalities and other special Panthers game elements on Friday night.
