Comments from Carolina Panthers Head Coach Ron Rivera.
On the status of linebacker James Anderson and other injuries: (He is doing) a lot better today. He came in this morning, he was upbeat, he got some good treatment. He worked his rehab, and then we booted him up. He was outside watching practice. We'll find out tomorrow, he'll test it (ankle) and see exactly how he feels. But there is good reason for optimism, so we'll keep our fingers crossed.
Mike Goodson (hamstring), not so good. We've got him listed as doubtful. We'll see tomorrow how he is, but I think doubtful is the right spot to have him. Jason (Phillips) worked it (calf) today. He has good lateral movement right now, but his forward and back motion is a little iffy. So we won't have him.
On the week of practice: We had a real good Wednesday. Thursday was pretty good. Today, we were anxious. It's been a while (since we have played). The energy was there, but it was that "let's do something energy." So they were anxious. That's good and bad in my opinion; you never really know. Hopefully, it will carry over (to the game). The biggest thing I said more than anything is we really need to be consistent. We can't make the mistakes that have hurt us and plagued us all year through the first eight.
