CHARLOTTE - A nationally televised matchup with the Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens highlights the Panthers' preseason schedule released by the NFL on Thursday.
The Panthers will visit the Ravens on Aug. 22 at 8 p.m. on ESPN.
The Panthers will open the preseason Aug. 9 when the Chicago Bears visit Bank of America Stadium, the first preseason meeting between the teams since they played the first ever game at the stadium on Aug. 3, 1996.
Carolina will visit the Philadelphia Eagles on Aug. 15, then visit Baltimore before wrapping up the preseason schedule with a home game against the Pittsburgh Steelers near the end of August. The exact date and time for that game and the time for the Bears and Eagles games will be announced at a later date.

The Panthers and Steelers will be meeting in the preseason finale for the 11th consecutive season.
The Panthers are 33-40 in preseason games. Carolina finished at least .500 in the preseason in each of its four playoff seasons.
The NFL is expected to release the regular season schedule later this month.
