The Carolina Panthers, in partnership with NC State and USA Football, will host a free Parents Clinic presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina on Wednesday, June 21 from 6-8 p.m. at the Wendell H Murphy Football Center at NC State University.
The event will help provide parents whose children are interested in playing tackle football with the latest information about the safety of the game. The Panthers recently hosted a football safety clinic at Bank of America Stadium.
The NC State athletic training staff will discuss concussion recognition and a parent's role, while also covering hydration, prevention of heat-related illness and nutrition. USA Football Master Trainers will be on hand to educate moms on proper helmet and shoulder pad fitting which will take place in the Wolfpack football team meeting room.
In the second hour, the master trainers will give parents hands-on knowledge about shoulder tackling techniques in Carter-Finley Stadium.
Participants will receive a free event t-shirt. Snacks and water will be provided.
The following day, NC State is hosting their Wolfpuppy camp for K-8th graders. Kids will be taught the fundamentals of football in this fun and exciting, non-contact camp. Register and find more information about this camp online at https://davedoerenfootballcamps.com/index.php
