SPARTANBURG — The Panthers made their daily transaction Tuesday after practice, waiving fullback Mikey Daniel.
Daniel was signed this offseason, and had previously spent time in camp with the Falcons.
That move leaves the Panthers with an available roster spot, and only one fullback on the roster.
With veteran Rod Smith's acquisition last week, the Panthers have a more experienced option at the position. But they also use tight ends for some of the traditional blocking roles, so a player such as rookie Tommy Tremble helps cover that as well.
