CHARLOTTE — The Panthers created a roster spot Monday, opening the door for another move later in the week.
The team waived defensive end Jonathan Harris.
The 28-year-old Harris was signed off the Dolphins practice squad in October. He appeared in seven games and had 10 tackles, a quarterback hit, and a fumble recovery (which came in Sunday's win over the Cardinals).
The move leaves the roster at 52, and there are a number of thin positions in need of fortification.
