MINNEAPOLIS - Defensive end Charles Johnson, fullback Mike Tolbert and cornerback Bene Benwikere are among key players that are active for the Panthers in Minnesota.
Johnson missed practice Thursday and Friday with an illness and was listed questionable on the injury report. Tolbert is back after missing eight games with a knee injury that landed him on the injured reserve/designated for return list, while Benwikere had missed six games with an ankle injury.
Defensive tackle Micanor Regis, promoted from the Panthers' practice squad Saturday, is inactive. To make room for Regis on the 53-man roster, Carolina waived running back Chris Ogbonnaya, who provided crucial depth while Tolbert was out. Ogbonnaya played in five games and rushed for 50 yards on 14 carries with one touchdown.
Regis, a 6-3, 305-pounder, was on the Atlanta Falcons' practice squad as an undrafted rookie from the University of Miami in 2012 and signed with the Panthers during training camp in July.
Vikings rookie running back Jerick McKinnon, the team's leading rusher, is inactive with a back injury.
