CHARLOTTE — Panthers head coach Dave Canales said Wednesday that Bryce Young would make his third straight start this week in Germany against the Giants.
Young's coming off what Canales called a "solid" day, throwing for 171 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 23-22 win over the Saints. He also had an interception (when Saints cornerback Shemar-Jean Charles snatched the ball away from Xavier Legette), but the good stacked up higher than the bad.
He led a game-winning touchdown drive for the first time in his NFL career and also took a knee to end the game in victory formation for the first time in his NFL career.
Young started the first two games of the season and went back in the lineup two weeks ago when Andy Dalton suffered a sprained right thumb in a car accident.
