The Carolina Panthers will host a pregame street festival, "Panthers on Mint" presented by Bank of America, before the team's 2018 regular season opener against the Dallas Cowboys on Sept. 9. Festival programming begins at 1 p.m.
The free event, held on Mint Street between Stonewall Street and Morehead Street, will take place just outside Bank of America Stadium's east gate and will feature a live concert by the band Simplified, appearances by Panthers Legends, Sir Purr, the TopCats, the Black & Blue Crew and PurrCussion.
"One of my favorite things in sports is the feeling of anticipation before an NFL game," Panthers Owner David Tepper said. "Panthers on Mint will bring that excitement right to our front door in the heart of uptown Charlotte. We have great fans in the Carolinas, and this festival will enhance their game day experience."
Two large outdoor video screens will show the NFL RedZone channel so fans can see the most exciting action from every 1 p.m. game before the Panthers play the Cowboys at 4:25 p.m. The festival will also have sponsorship activation areas and beverages sales.
