The Carolina Panthers will hold their annual holiday toy collection to benefit the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve's Toys For Tots program when they play the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, Dec. 12 at Bank of America Stadium.
All fans can participate in this worthy cause by bringing a new, unwrapped toy with them to the game. Representatives from the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve will be at each gate when the stadium opens at 11 a.m. to collect the toys for children in the Carolinas.
"This holiday season is going to be particularly challenging for many families in the Carolinas. Panthers fans have always provided a significant boost to the Toys For Tots program, which helps the Marine Corps Reserves bring holiday joy to children across our region," said Riley Fields, the Carolina Panthers director of community relations.
Since the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve began the Toys For Tots program in 1947, millions of toys have been distributed to underprivileged children throughout the United States. For many needy children, the Toys For Tots program is their only source of help. Through this charity, the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve tries to deliver a message of hope and to bring a ray of holiday joy to the hearts of children in need in the United States each holiday season.
