The Carolina Panthers have signed defensive end Ryan Delaire from the Washington Redskins practice squad and released defensive tackle Colin Cole, the team announced Wednesday.
Delaire, 6-4 and 265 pounds, entered the NFL this season with Tampa Bay as an undrafted rookie free agent from Towson. He was released by the Buccaneers in the final roster cutdown, Sept. 5, and signed to Washington's practice squad Sept. 7.
At Towson, Delaire was a first-team All-Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) honoree as both a junior and senior. He earned third-team FCS AP All-American honors as a senior.
Cole appeared in 33 games in three seasons with the Panthers, compiling 44 tackles and one sack.
