CHARLOTTE – Defensive tackle Kyle Love is back with the Panthers after signing a two-year extension.

Love, who originally joined the Panthers late in the 2014 season, has played 25 games over the last two seasons, posting 35 tackles and 4.5 sacks in that span.

"It's a good feeling. I feel like I've established a home," Love said. "This is the team that brought me in when nobody else wanted me. I'm just happy and ready to go back to work."

Love is the fourth defensive lineman to re-sign this offseason, joining defensive ends Mario Addison, Charles Johnson and Wes Horton. The Panthers also retained defensive tackle Kawann Short by applying the franchise tag.

Carolina recently provided an additional boost to the defenisve front by signing defensive end Julius Peppers.

"I'm really excited about our D-line," Love said with a wide smile. "I think quarterbacks are going to be in trouble. We are going to be getting after people, I can tell you that. A lot of good things are coming soon to a season near you."
